SWIMNIC
First Edition: Art Basel 2024
On Wednesday, June 12 at 3 p.m. – when everybody is ready to take a breather from Art Basel – we host an event that is tied to what everybody loves about Basel: the Rhine River.
Come join us for a swim at the shore in front of Museum Tinguely where you will receive a floating device, sunscreen, and a towel from us! We look forward to swimming with you.
Performance & Installation
Lucia Kempkes (*1989) will present her current work cycle “A Stream Of Thoughts To Detach Us From The Current”. She has created floating devices from stone paper that will be installed in the water.
At 4 p.m. there will be a 15-minute performance by Australian artist Shona Stark (*1987) in front of Hotel Krafft. She will also create an edition of towels that will be available here soon.
